Moment Of Time

let me lie
on sun warmed slats
of weathered wood,
staring up
at endless seas of sky,
as wind’s soft breath,
lightly blows across my skin

let me gaze
at billowy beasts,
slowly striding
toward water’s end,
as they devour
miles and miles
of blue

let my heart soar
on Osprey’s wings,
and ride the wind
in countless circles
above the blue-grey sea

let me smell
the salted air
that comes across
the strait,
and carries on it’s ancient edge,
the songs of whales
a thousand years ago,
and let me lie here
forever,
in this sun speckled
moment of time

  1. Larry,
    This is one that speaks to me and transcends time and space -it speaks to my spirit -sans body.
